DCHS Passport to History’s Archeology Summer Camp

DCHS is pleased to announce its third season of Archeology Summer Camp for students entering third through sixth grades. Summer camp will be held at DCHS Greenbank Farm at 991 Palmers Mill Road in Marple Township.

Camp will be offered in three separate but identical sessions: June 25-28, July 16-19, and August 13-16 from 8:30am to 3:00pm. These 25 hours of instruction will cost $200 per student. Students will be taught how to research a site, survey techniques, and professional excavation techniques and participate in a hands-on archeological laboratory.

DCHS Would like to thank PECO for generously supporting this summer camp program through a grant that will be utilized to purchase equipment, snacks, and pay for a bus to transport the students to the DCHS Museum where they will learn to conduct research.
